The Chief of Staff is the integrator for the CEO’s operating system. This role ensures leadership cadence, decision flow, cross functional alignment, and CEO leverage all run at a consistently high standard. You will own the connective tissue across the organization and enable the CEO and senior leaders to operate with clarity, speed, and disciplined execution.
Responsibilities
• Run the weekly leadership operating rhythm including scorecard integrity, agenda creation, documentation, and commitment tracking.
• Produce briefing packets for board cycles, partner meetings, and key internal sessions.
• Draft, route, and quality control decision memos with clear recommendations and deadlines.
• Enforce decision rights, escalation thresholds, and send back rules.
• Stand up and run monthly manager forums and quarterly skip level programs.
• Operate the weekly metrics review with a focus on controllable input metrics and exception based discussion.
• Broker cross functional alignment across initiatives such as AI integration, ERP transformation, pricing modernization, analytics expansion, and technology stack improvements.
• Manage follow through on board commitments and CEO preparation.
• Coordinate with executive assistant capacity to architect the CEO’s calendar, protect think blocks, and reduce reactive time.
• Serve as an honest broker carrying unfiltered truth upward and the CEO’s intent downward.
Required Experience
• 8+ years of professional experience including at least three years leading cross functional programs or business operations.
• Experience building or running operating rhythms, KPI scorecards, or decision systems.
• Exceptional structured written communication.
• Ability to influence senior leaders without authority.
• Analytical fluency and comfort interrogating dashboards.
• Impeccable discretion and trustworthiness.
• A visible system for tracking commitments and follow through.
Preferred Experience
• Retail, ecommerce, consumer operations, or re commerce background.
• ERP or major systems transformation exposure.
• Prior Chief of Staff, business operations, or consulting experience.
• MBA or comparable advanced training.
