Amazon Lab126 is looking for a Chief of Staff to join the Hardware Strategy & Ops team based in Sunnyvale. This role supports the Director of Product Development and their direct staff. In order to support the broader Hardware org"s objectives, this role will bridge critical data and insights with strategic planning and operational mechanisms. This is a senior position that is responsible for driving long term initiatives to meet business goals.

A excellent candidate will present high judgement, excellent analytical abilities, and a creative mind to invent solutions to new and old problems. You will collaborate with various business, operations, financial, and engineering teams across Amazon. Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and align resource requirements for the Hardware Product Development organization to deliver against roadmap programs.
  • Coordinate and drive the process for forecasting/reporting actual resource requirements and analysis for both individual program-level reviews as well as annual planning cycles.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the capacity of the Hardware organization and ensure we have the right teams in place to deliver against the device roadmap.
  • Translate key strategic plans into projects, identifying requirements and relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Develop insights from the historical trends, including reports and documents, share and interpret those learning with senior leadership.
  • Actively explore and design scalable execution plans for long-term strategic planning opportunities to improve operational efficiency in execution and scaling of the Hardware Organization.
