    Chief of Clinical Services

    Remote (New York) | $180,000–$230,000

    An established healthcare organization specializing in OPWDD services is seeking an accomplished clinical executive to join its executive leadership team as its Chief of Clinical Services.

    Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created executive leadership position was designed to elevate the organization's clinical strategy, strengthen quality initiatives, and drive organization-wide clinical excellence. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to shape the future of clinical operations by improving systems, enhancing outcomes, and leading strategic initiatives across a growing clinical infrastructure.

    Unlike traditional operational leadership roles, this position is focused on executive-level strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys evaluating systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing meaningful organizational change.

    Position Summary

    The Chief of Clinical Services serves as the organization's senior clinical leader, providing executive oversight for all clinical services while partnering closely with executive leadership to advance quality, compliance, population health, and clinical operations.

    This individual will oversee clinical strategy, guide organizational initiatives, collaborate with senior clinical leadership, and serve as the organization's primary clinical representative with regulatory agencies and healthcare partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of all clinical services.
    • Develop and implement clinical strategies that improve quality, outcomes, and operational effectiveness.
    • Lead population health initiatives, including risk stratification and care management strategies.
    • Oversee clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and incident management programs.
    • Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends and implement system-wide improvements.
    • Partner with executive leadership on organizational growth and strategic planning initiatives.
    • Serve as the organization's primary clinical liaison with OPWDD, government agencies, managed care organizations, and healthcare partners.
    • Support senior clinical leadership while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Represent the organization during audits, regulatory reviews, and external meetings.

    Qualifications

    • Active New York clinical license (RN, LCSW, LMHC, Psychologist, NP, or equivalent)
    • Minimum of five years of progressive executive or senior clinical leadership experience
    • Extensive experience within OPWDD organizations (required)
    • Experience in Health Home, Care Coordination, Managed Care, or related healthcare environments
    • Strong background in population health, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations
    • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and improve clinical outcomes
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
