Today

At Aprendamos, we are a values-based organization dedicated to igniting hope and building brighter futures together. We partner with families to help children attain their highest potential through compassionate, culturally responsive care.

We are seeking a visionary executive leader to join Aprendamos Family of Services as our Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This role is designed for a dynamic and empathetic leader who thrives at the intersection of human capital strategy and profound community impact.

If you are a top-tier strategic partner who leads with a heart for service, we invite you to shape the future of Aprendamos by:

  • Architecting an Integrated Talent Strategy: Synchronizing recruitment and retention across our multidisciplinary teams to ensure our workforce is as resilient and specialized as the care we provide.
  • Cultivating a Values-Driven Culture: Serving as the steward of our bilingual and culturally responsive identity, ensuring our mission of “igniting hope” is felt by every employee from their first day to their last.
  • Leading Organizational Transformation: Advising the C‑Suite on workforce planning, succession, and professional development to scale our impact while maintaining our commitment to compassionate care.
  • Elevating the Employee Experience: Designing holistic wellness and engagement programs that support the mental and emotional health of our providers, allowing them to show up fully for the families they serve.
  • Ensuring Clinical & Regulatory Excellence: Overseeing the rigorous credentialing and licensure processes required for pediatric therapists in New Mexico to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and Medicaid compliance.
  • Mitigating Risk through Governance: Driving enterprise‑wide readiness for audits and accreditation surveys by establishing robust HR compliance and documentation policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the CEO, the CHRO owns the human capital strategy of Aprendamos. Success in this role requires deep alignment with the C‑Suite and the entire organization to drive strategy and ensure our “Families First” value is powered by a “People First” internal culture.

Core Oversight Areas:
Strategic Talent Architecture
  • The Employee Journey: Mastermind the entire team member experience from the first “hello” in recruitment to seamless onboarding, professional growth, and alumni relations.
  • Workforce Planning: Orchestrate long‑term staffing strategies for our multidisciplinary teams to ensure we meet community demand with high‑quality, culturally responsive providers and team members.
  • Total Rewards and Wellness: Design and oversee competitive, values‑aligned compensation and benefit programs that support the holistic well‑being of our staff.
Organizational Health & Culture Stewardship
  • Mission Integration: Ensure Aprendamos' core values are woven into every HR process, fostering a bilingual and inclusive environment where every employee feels a sense of belonging.
  • Leadership Development: Build robust succession plans and coaching programs for Program Directors and emerging leaders to sustain our “Pursuit of Excellence.”
  • Employee Advocacy: Turn feedback into action by leading engagement initiatives and service recovery for internal team challenges, ensuring a psychologically safe workplace.
Compliance, Risk, & Clinical Governance
  • Credentialing and Licensure: Oversee the rigorous verification and credentialing required for pediatric therapy in New Mexico, ensuring 100 % compliance with state boards and Medicaid standards.
  • Regulatory Readiness: Maintain enterprise‑wide audit readiness for HR files, background checks, and HIPAA training to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Labor Relations: Direct all employee relations matters with empathy and integrity, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Systems Innovation and People Analytics
  • HR Digital Transformation: Lead the implementation and optimization of Human Resource Information systems and platforms to provide real‑time data on retention, turnover, and recruitment.
  • Process Architecture: Design Standard Operating Procedures for the HR Team that simplify the complex, allowing our staff to focus on the clients and families we serve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (SPHR/SHRM‑SCP certification highly preferred).
  • Proven track record as a senior HR leader (Director or VP level) within a high‑growth healthcare or human services organization.
  • Experience managing the human capital needs of a large, multidisciplinary workforce (ideally 200+ staff).
  • Deep understanding of healthcare compliance, clinical credentialing, and New Mexico‑specific labor laws.
  • Proficiency in using data and people analytics to drive business decisions and cultural shifts.
  • A profound commitment to Aprendamos' core values: Families First, Integrity Always, Pursuit of Excellence, Shaping the Future, and Making a Meaningful Difference.
