Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to $180,000 DOE + benefits
 
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our team internally.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of our organization. This is a fully remote role with the opportunity to help define and build an internal CFO function.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a staffing agency, with hands-on knowledge of staffing-specific financial models, including payroll funding, billing cycles, and margin management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership to executive management

  • Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships

  • Lead financial planning related to contractor payroll and client billing

  • Ensure compliance with tax, labor, and staffing-related regulations

  • Support M&A activity, acquisitions, and financial integrations

  • Analyze margins, pricing models, and operational performance

  • Develop and improve financial controls, reporting, and KPIs

  • Lead and mentor finance/accounting teams and external partners

  • Advise leadership on growth strategy and financial risk

Required Experience, Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

  • Proven experience in a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leadership role

  • Prior experience working within a staffing agency or recruiting industry

  • Deep understanding of staffing financial models, including payroll funding, billing cycles, and gross margin management

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

  • Experience supporting acquisitions and integrations

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
