The Chief Development Officer (CDO) leads the organization's Development and Marketing efforts to increase revenue and support its mission of serving the vulnerable.
They develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans, manage donor relationships, oversee major campaigns and events, and ensure effective marketing and branding strategies.
The CDO supervises staff, collaborates with the Board and leadership team, and cultivates relationships with community stakeholders and donors through meetings and outreach.
Key responsibilities include managing donor databases, overseeing fundraising metrics, and representing the organization publicly.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 5-8 years of fundraising experience, management skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to build strong relationships.
Must be flexible with hours, able to travel, and possess a valid driver’s license. Physical requirements are in accordance with the ADA, with accommodations available as needed.
