The CAO will be a strategic partner to senior leadership, with a focus on strengthening accountability, enhancing risk awareness, and supporting effective decision-making. This role is pivotal in the company's growth and advancement, particularly in the context of its research classification. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive, risk-based internal audit program, including audits of financial, operational, compliance, information technology, cybersecurity, research, and administrative functions. The CAO will also coordinate internal audit activities with external and system-level audit entities and will be the primary liaison for external audit engagements and regulatory reviews.Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' internal or external audit experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or similar are highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree and experience in higher education or complex public-sector environments, as well as a background in data analytics and audit automation tools.
