This part-time instructor position in the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Physics is open to qualified applicants interested in teaching non-majors chemistry courses.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching one or more lecture sections (4 hours/week) per semester using faculty-selected textbooks
- Assisting students in and out of the classroom
- Creating syllabi based on departmental guidelines
- Providing office hours, writing, proctoring, and grading exams
- Managing the online learning platform (Canvas)
Requirements:
- At least 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry or related field; a graduate degree preferred
- Experience teaching non-majors chemistry is preferred
