Job Title: Chemist - Delivery

Duration: 12+ Months
Pay rate: $37/hr - $40/hr on W2 without benefits
Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM Onsite
Summary:
- Under general direction from the Fluids Sustaining Team Leader, the Lab Chemist is to perform all types of laboratory-scale testing and investigations to develop and sustain Client s Drilling and Completion Fluids (DCF) product lines.
- The Lab Chemist is part of a flexible and responsive team who meet urgent business and operation s needs, using innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage individual technical projects with little oversight.
- Work in laboratory environment using benchtop scale equipment.
- Design/Optimize/Mix Drilling and Completion fluid formulations on lab scale.
- Conduct laboratory-scale testing, related to Drilling and Completion fluids. Laboratory testing using Temperature and Pressure.
- Knowledge of API Recommended Practice for Drilling and Completion Fluids testing.
- Prepare technical reports based on results of testing.
- Review data, conduct data analysis, and draw meaningful summaries and conclusions from results. Statistical analysis experience is preferred.
- Communicate effectively with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Laboratory equipment maintenance and calibrations.
- Author/co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations.
- Share expertise via networking channels and expand the informal network throughout the organization: field, research, engineering, manufacturing, other domains and clients.
- Work in collaboration with other departments/functions (Engineering, Technical Services, Regulatory Compliance, Supply Chain, Operations) to develop cost-effective, reliable chemical products and solutions.

Qualification / Education:
- Required: Bachelor of Science / Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Equivalent
- Preferred: Master of Science / Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Equivalent
Experience:
- Required: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Drilling and Completion Fluids; Lab and/or operations
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in Drilling and Completion Fluids; Lab and/or operations
- (Experience in drilling fluids lab-scale testing and/or operations experience is preferred over higher-level education)
Physical Demands:
- Active environment, lifting equipment, standing for a reasonable period of time, walking, conducting laboratory-scale testing.
- Laboratory and Office environment. Temperature and pressure involved laboratory testing.
