Description

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities across a multi-shift chemical production operation.
  • Lead production employees to ensure output, quality, safety, and operational targets are achieved.
  • Develop, communicate, and manage production schedules across all shifts.
  • Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate purchasing requirements to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Partner with engineering and technical teams to implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinate workflows with quality, laboratory, wastewater, and order fulfillment functions.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while supporting employees in problem-solving activities.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, quality requirements, environmental regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities when required.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation and support quality management initiatives.
  • Train, mentor, and develop production personnel while promoting accountability and high performance.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and assist with data collection and reporting activities.
  • Step into operational duties when required to maintain business continuity.

Profile

  • Proven experience supervising teams within a manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial production environment.
  • Strong understanding of chemical production processes and safe material handling practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, work instructions, and safety documentation.
  • Experience managing employee performance, training, and workforce development.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Experience coordinating production schedules, inventory requirements, and operational resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems such as ERP or SAP platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Chemistry education, metals processing experience, or related industrial training would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects or process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
