Chemical Process Operator - Savannah, GA
Position Summary
We are seeking Chemical Process Operators to join a manufacturing team in Savannah, GA. This role is responsible for operating chemical packaging and processing equipment in a regulated industrial environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working a rotating shift schedule.
Pay: $21/hr
Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Rotating day/night schedule
Responsibilities
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols, and environmental practices
Operate chemical packaging equipment and/or one or more of the following processing equipment types:
Calciner
Ribbon Blender/Classifier
COP equipment (support role)
HTLP-associated processing equipment
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report problems to supervision
Inspect, clean, and perform minor repairs on machinery within assigned area
Prepare equipment for maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with both preventive and unscheduled maintenance
Draw product samples at prescribed intervals and submit to the QC laboratory for analysis
Maintain accurate daily logs in the area logbook
Communicate with incoming and outgoing shift personnel regarding production, maintenance, and other operational details
Maintain cleanliness of assigned area
Perform other related duties or operate additional equipment as directed by supervision
Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Basic computer skills, including data entry, are required
* 1+ year of experience working in an industrial settling
* Must have forklift experience
Preferences
Experience operating chemical processing or packaging equipment
Familiarity with SOPs and regulated manufacturing environments
Experience with shift handoff communication and logbook documentation
