Job Title: Chemical Operator
Location: Savannah, GA
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am (rotating day and night shifts)
Compensation: $21.00/hr
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent

Responsibilities

  • Operate chemical packaging and processing equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Operate equipment such as calciner, ribbon blender/classifier, and assist with other processing equipment related to HTLP.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report problems to supervision.
  • Inspect, clean, and perform minor repairs on machinery within assigned scope.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with preventive and unscheduled repairs.
  • Draw product samples at prescribed intervals and submit them to the QC laboratory for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily tasks in the area logbook.
  • Communicate production, maintenance, and other relevant information during shift handovers.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the assigned area.
  • Perform other related assignments and operate additional equipment as directed by supervision.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in chemical processing or packaging preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and environmental practices.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Good communication skills for shift handovers and reporting issues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
