Berryman's warehouse provides a wide range of chemicals as well as custom tailored products for your industry. We are searching for a Chemical / Petroleum terminal operator, experienced in the transfer of chemical and petroleum liquids by truck, rail and tanks.
Job Title: Chemical Operator
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transloading - loading onto tanks, railcars, and trucks
- Understand pumps and pipelines
- Tank gauging, Railcar gauging
- Tank, Truck, and railcar blending
- Tote and drum filling and handling
- Calculate tank fits, railcar and truck loading calibration quantities
- Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns related to operations
- Work directly with supervisor and operations manager
- Work with other team members to complete the production process
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of terminal operations experience
- Understand chemical and petroleum process
- Aptitude for mechanics
- Basic math skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, climbing, sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear (PPE)
