Job Description
We are seeking a person to join our Quality Compliance team as a Chemical Compliance Engineer. This role is important to ensure our company maintains the highest standards for regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chemistries in parts/materials and can work with our Design & Procurement team to identify where we have restricted chemicals in our products while proposing potential replacements if available.
Responsibilities:
- Follow changes to regulatory requirements (US, EMEA, Asia) and translate it into product requirements
- Proactively engage with the appropriate Industrial Organizations like SEMI Compliance Working Groups
- Collaborate with Advantest internal Compliance teams
The Chemical Compliance Engineer will also be responsible for:
- Customer inquiries on regulatory topics and material compliance declarations
- Maintain and support our Design for the Environment guideline
- Support environmental aspects for all US based new product development projects & product end of Life
- Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on environmental aspects
- Manage Advantest requirements in fulfilling global environmental product compliance
- Generating routine compliance reports for authorities as necessary
- Manage PFAS, RoHS 3, REACH, SCIP & other substance data gathering compliance and regulatory changes as needed
