FOOD is a small, design-led restaurant in Chinatown. Sub-30 seats, daily rotating menu, Tues Sat dinner service. We are hiring an experienced cook to join the kitchen.
Role: Run a station through dinner service / Daily prep against a rotating menu / Maintain a clean, organized station from open to close / Communicate clearly with the kitchen and floor during service / Contribute ideas as the menu evolves
Requirements: 3+ years professional kitchen experience / Strong team player, calm under pressure / Clear, direct communication / Highly organized, detail-oriented, consistent / Comfortable cooking proteins to temp on the line / Solid knife skills, pasta or butchery a plus / NYC Food Protection Certificate (FSE) preferred / Reliable, on time, clean
Schedule: Full time / Tues thru Sat evenings / Some daytime prep shifts
Pay: Hourly / Weekly settlement, direct deposit
