Sodexo is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to oversee food service at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. VHC Health (formerly known as Virginia Hospital Center) is a 453 bed not-for-profit teaching facility.  The health system's flagship hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical services  

Incentives

**Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday AM SHIFT** every 3rd weekend rotation (schedule may change based on business needs)

What You'll Do

The Chef Manager will play a hands-on role, overseeing food production, culinary excellence, and support patient dining, and catering services. The role will ensure an exceptional dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff. Overall, will oversee food service, driving operational efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering a culture of excellence in service and quality. 

  • deliver high quality food service;
  • Lead a culinary team and manage daily kitchen operations
  • Ensure food quality , safety, and compliance with Sodexo and hospital standards
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to support patient satisfaction 
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory, and cost controls
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain customer relationships and develop strategic plans; 
  • create a positive environment; and 
  • ensure Sodexo and client standards are met.

  • Financial ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with material costs, labor, procurement compliance and controllable expenses.
  • Culinary background with a passion for healthcare food service;
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills;
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
