Position Summary: 

Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Health Center, coordinates the daily operations and the progressive development of occupational health programs and occupational medical examinations. Utilizes Firelands’ practice standards and evidence-based practices.

What you will do:

  • Develops, implements, and evaluates specific Occupational Health and Corporate Health program goals, objectives, policies, procedures, standards of care and monitoring procedures utilizing current standards and evidence-based practices.
  • Updates departmental policy and procedure manual on a bi-yearly basis in tandem with the Manager
  • Initiates, develops and conducts education programs for corporate clients. Assists with continuing education programming for Firelands Health staff and orientation of new employees.
  • Assists with and performs various Occupational Health Medical Examinations and Health Risk Screenings. Maintains required certifications for such testing.
  • Actively participates in Firelands Health committees as determined appropriate.
  • Provides documentation to Corporate Health clients and maintains specific medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance in department.
  • Monitors the preparation of clinic staffing schedules and ensures appropriate skill mix. Responsible for effective day-to-day management of department resources. Distributes annual performance appraisals of clinic staff.
  • Participates with the CHC Manager in the marketing process of Corporate Health programs and services, providing proposals for service and other necessary requests.
  • Participates in planning, conducting and coordinating regular business calls. Represents Firelands Health to the community. Acts as an ambassador and advocate for Firelands.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Bachelor’s degree in business or health related field preferred. RN licensed in the State of Ohio preferred.
  • Three or more years of hospital/clinic experience required. Experience in occupational medicine along with demonstrated management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a thorough understanding of Health Care System/Industrial interface.
  • Audiology Certificate, NIOSH Spirometry Certificate required. MRO Assistant, preferred. Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.
  • Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurable under Firelands auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
  • Successful completion of a 180 day probationary period.
