Scope of Position

The Charitable Gift Planning Relations and Marketing Coordinator supports the Northern New England Division charitable gift planning program and the collective Community Relations and Development team. Working collaboratively in support of the Director of Planned Giving, the Coordinator advances divisional planned giving strategies and initiatives through coordinated marketing, donor cultivation, and administrative execution. Areas of focus include Charitable Gift Planning, Marketing, Donor Cultivation and Stewardship, and Regulatory Compliance. The Coordinator plays a critical role in strengthening donor relationships, enhancing operational excellence, and ensuring adherence to applicable charitable gift regulations while contributing to the overall growth and sustainability of the Division's planned giving program.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate planned giving marketing initiatives and manage the full donor pipeline from first contact through long term stewardship
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for donors, vendors, and estate planning professionals
  • Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce and run charitable gift annuity illustrations
  • Lead logistics for our annual estate planning webinar and support donor receptions and special events throughout the year
  • Support the preparation and distribution of our weekly e-newsletter
  • Stay current on IRS charitable gift substantiation requirements and federal tax regulations affecting planned giving vehicles
Qualifications:

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, and a genuine customer service mindset are essential.
  • Prior knowledge of charitable gift planning is a plus, and enthusiasm for learning and growing in the field is equally welcome.
  • This role requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, work both independently and collaboratively, and bring professionalism and care to every donor interaction.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar fundraising databases is a bonus.
