The Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) plays a vital leadership role in managing the delivery of quality resident care. This position supervises nursing staff on the unit, coordinates resident care, and ensures adherence to all facility policies and regulatory standards.
Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate resident care.
Monitor resident status and communicate significant changes to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure accurate documentation.
Support and mentor Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other nursing staff.
Participate in care plan development, implementation, and evaluation.
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
Promote infection control and resident safety practices at all times.
Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.
Current RN or LPN license in the state of [State].
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
