Responsibilities
Accurately capture and code outpatient charges for timely billing.
Review medical records to verify CPT/ICD codes and modifiers.
Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA/privacy requirements at all times.
Identify and resolve coding discrepancies to minimize denials.
Ensure compliance with payer policies and company coding guidelines.
Maintain and monitor productivity pipeline to forecast revenue potential.
Collaborate with clinical staff to obtain missing documentation.
Maintain accurate audit trails and update patient/workflow records.
Assist in monthly/quarterly revenue reporting and KPI tracking.
Participate in training and professional development to advance skills.
Escalate complex cases to senior staff for review and guidance.
Support on-site team with daily huddles and performance updates.
Experience/Qualifications
Accurate outpatient charge capture with CPT/ICD/modifier verification.
HIPAA/privacy compliance and confidentiality throughout all tasks.
Review medical records to validate coding against payer policies.
Identify and resolve coding discrepancies to reduce denials.
