Job Title: Change ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Change Management Specialist to lead and facilitate the engineering change process for hardware products. This role involves serving as the central coordinator for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and change review boards. The specialist will ensure that product documentation is accurate, complete, and effectively implemented across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable influencing stakeholders across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate engineering change processes from initiation through implementation.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Organize and lead change review boards and related cross-functional meetings.
  • Review change documentation for completeness, accuracy, and readiness for approval.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to gather required inputs and drive timely execution of changes.
  • Monitor change status, approvals, implementation timelines, and associated documentation.
  • Maintain product structure, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related records within PLM systems.
  • Ensure proper document control and revision management practices are followed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product lifecycle management and change control processes.
  • Serve as a key resource for stakeholders regarding change management best practices and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering Change Management, Configuration Management, Document Control, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience managing ECR/ECO workflows in a hardware product environment.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional reviews and coordinating stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations.
  • Strong documentation management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior technical and operational personnel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with PLM systems such as Duro, Arena PLM, Agile PLM, or similar product lifecycle management platforms.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Background supporting hardware products within construction technology, consumer electronics, automotive, industrial equipment, robotics, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Work Environment

The role involves working in a dynamic environment that requires collaboration with various departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations. It demands a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring effective communication and coordination among stakeholders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.69/hr.
