SPOTLIGHT CALL ON FRIDAY 6/5/2026
Cynthia Overview
Organizational change manager to help lead the change management for service now optimization program
Been in process of moving SNOW to Cloud based newer version of SNOW
Currently the team is working on implementing hardware management CMDB and a few other smaller things
CMDB biggest part of project - currently in legacy SNOW and need to move into the new instance of SNOW
There is a ton of work that needs to happen around that because the CMDB has been loosely governed
There are lot of applications that are not being updated in there or not at all
Get them to complete data cleanups and get into new CMDB instance and follow governance and maintain that
The role will touch on other aspects of SNOW as well but initial rollout of getting support tickets moved over has been done - this is more backend capabilities they are now looking at getting implemented
Working with leaders and get leaders bought in to why these things are important and ensure teams are participating and actively engaged in driving these things forward in the midst of other changes
Contract right now looking at running through end of year but there is potential to move beyond that but as of right now they have not looked beyond this year at this point
Q+A:
Onsite requirements
Ability to work east coast hours in important
Experience and skills are more important for location as long as they can work EST
If they are in Raleigh area it allows them to collab and is a bonus
What are the must have and nice to have candidate qualities
Having extensive experience leading transformational initiatives
Seeing some push back and resistance with stake holders and number of things hitting these groups - being able to get their attention and get them bought in. They will need this extensive experience in order to do this
5-7 years of solid experience
Certifications are nice to have
Prosci ADAKR methodology - not a must have but nice to have
Specific experience with SNOW
Organizational change this person will be leading
Not necessarily a change of org structure but it will impact people's day to day responsibilities
Asking people to use a tool in some cases where they have never used a tool before in some applications
Project is already underway
Will this person be leading multiple change project simultaneously
It's a program called SNOW optimization program - multiple tracks within this program
Potential this change manager will also be helping drive changes in other tracks but CMDB is biggest
IT application or tool
Google house so Google suite of tools - nice to have (it will help get onboarded more quickly)
JIRA to track work
SNOW
History of position?
Program has been going since last year and so they have had a consultancy brought in to help the change management
Cynthia had no one who had bandwidth to take this over
Shifted the change management to someone on team when bandwidth opened up but that person has been pulled into another priority so this position has opened up again
Start ASAP
Yes
Immigration challenges or accepting H1B etc.
Not aware of anything that would restrict that
Interview process
Potentially could do onsite if the candidate was in the Raleigh area
There would be virtual interviews as well since Cynthia is not in Raleigh
Usually initial screen interview - if candidate passes through that they will go through panel interview (either combined into one session or multiple)
There are a number of people that will be involved in the interview process
Professional background
Change management tends to be very transferrable
If there is experience driving platform changes that will help
If the candidate has experience with SNOW specifically that would be helpful but it is not a deal breaker if not
As long as they are a strong change manager - that is the most important thing
Agile or waterfall environment
Agile - there are pieces that feel waterfall but in general
Move very fast and use agile approaches
Person needs to onboard quickly and work in an environment that moves very fast
Exercises assigned for Interview process? Will that be the case here?
Has not been said but there is potential
This has happened because the people interview well but people get in the role and don t know how to execute
When are we looking to set up interviews?
Cynthia has PTO coming up - Thursday the 11th for a week
Most likely will start up after the 16th
