Job Summary
The Chain of Custody Coordinator (Servicing & Originations) will perform operational activities related to servicing and originations chain of custody of collateral, submission of collateral requiring execution, tracking of recordation services, submission of collateral to sub-servicers or other downstream constituents, compile reports of collateral in interim and long-term storage, mitigate issues and route departmental escalations; and be accountable for full chain of custody service levels of the department.
Essential Functions/Performance Dimensions and Tasks
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Operational Related Skills
- Receive inbound collateral through physical mail handling or through electronic methods into chain of custody.
- Accurately record, process and route collateral per chain of custody disposition and handling guidance for each client.
- Order and track recordation services by authorized third-party vendors for the client programs.
- Proactively monitor service levels of third-party vendors engaged in Chain of Custody.
- Coordinate delegated signing authority events for either eSigning or Wet-Signing recommendations.
- Liaise with program stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and deliver progress reports to Sr. Leadership.
- Participate in Kaizen Process Improvement events and/or bursts in an effort to improve Chain of Custody over-time.
- Other functions, duties, and tasks as assigned.

- Education: High School
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Mail Clerk
- 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service or performing Customer Service-related activities
- 1-3 years of experience in the mortgage services industry or service.
