Role Overview

Join STERIS as a hands-on maintenance professional safeguarding uptime, quality, and safety in a validated, cGMP environment. You will service and improve a broad range of plant assets—machinery, buildings, HVAC, electrical and control systems, safety/security systems, and computer/CMMS tools—while upholding Lean and 5S standards. You will also help manage shop tools and parts inventory, keep the CMMS current, and respond to after-hours emergencies when needed. In Gamma modality settings, this work can be physically demanding and requires strength and endurance.

  • Support production by completing shift work efficiently and taking part in a 24-hour rotating on-call schedule; maintain a spare parts program and escalate repair/deferral decisions to supervision as needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement: analyze performance, apply Lean concepts, incorporate team input, and respond constructively to audit findings.
  • Grow and share technical knowledge through training, workshops, and certifications; help cross-train others on basic repairs; uphold STERIS policies, GMP, Lean, and other directives.
