This is a Part-Time Instructor Pool in our Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department for available assignments during the academic year.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends.
May require travel to our main campus in Alvin and/or to various offsite locations, including local high schools in Alvin, Danbury, Manvel and Pearland and to Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities in Richmond, Rosharon or Lake Jackson.
Requires the provision of official transcripts, licenses and/or certifications within (30) days of hire.

This is a security sensitive position and requires a criminal history and/or motor vehicle records check.The instructor will teach Certified Non-Profit Professional (CNP) courses. The instructor will guide students through the CNP curriculum, preparing them to become effective leaders in the nonprofit sector. This course is designed to enhance students' knowledge and skills in non-profit management, financial sustainability, communications, marketing, fundraising, and innovation. The instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, facilitating discussions, and ensuring students meet all CNP requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.
Course Delivery: Teach the CNP course following the provided curriculum, covering six key modules:
Management and Leadership of the Non-profit Sector
Designing Programs for Long-term Sustainability
Non-profit Budgeting and Financial Management
Non-profit Communications and Marketing
Non-profit Fundraising and Resource Development
Innovation and Trends in the Non-profit Sector
Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students in completing their volunteerism and professional nonprofit experience requirements (20 hours of volunteer work and 120 hours of professional experience).
Assessment: Prepare students for the CNP Exam, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to pass. Administer the exam and provide feedback.
Leadership Development: Encourage and facilitate students' participation in leadership development opportunities, such as attending non-profit conferences and networking events.
Campus Director Collaboration: Work closely with the Campus Director to ensure that all students meet the CNP certification requirements, including volunteerism, professional experience, and educational qualifications.
Resource Management: Utilize CNP Central, an online portal, to track student progress, access study materials, and connect students with non-profit professionals for networking and mentorship.
Lifelong Learning: Promote the importance of lifelong learning and continued professional development within the nonprofit sector.
Adhere to Alvin Community College's policies and procedures.
Attend institutional meetings as required.
Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.
