Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technologist
Location: Watertown, New York, 13601
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 06/08/2026 – 09/09/2026
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8 | 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM
Weekend, Call & Holiday Coverage Required
Guaranteed 40 Hours Per Week
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required
100 Mile Radius Rule applies
Must have previous Travel experience
Must be Certified Surgical Technologist
NBSTSA or NCCT Certification required only
Must have Orthopedic experience
Must have recent Scrubbing experience
Must have DaVinci robotic surgery experience
BLS Certification required (AHA only)
Approved pharmacology course or prior medication experience required
Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes when called in
Position Overview:
The Certified Surgical Technologist will function under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties according to hospital and department policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and maintaining a sterile operating room environment
Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures
Handling instruments, supplies, and surgical equipment efficiently
Ensuring surgical equipment functions properly and safely
Supporting departmental assignments as needed
Precepting new staff when required
The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, adaptability, strong surgical knowledge, and the ability to react efficiently in fast-paced operative situations.
