How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment by expertly preparing operating suites with necessary drapes, solutions, and specialized instrumentation for each procedure.

  • Act as a vital partner to the surgical team by anticipating needs and providing the correct instruments and supplies with precision during active surgery.

  • Support patient safety and procedural efficiency by assisting with the careful transportation, positioning, and draping of patients prior to surgery.

  • Maintain rigorous clinical standards by organizing surgical tools and performing meticulous instrument counts to ensure the highest level of accuracy throughout the operative process.

What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 years preceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • Must have previous CV experience.
  • OR Call Requirement – 1 shift every 5-6 weeks
