Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- 2 shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- 2 shifts: 10:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Monday through Friday
Compensation:
- Travel Rate: $40–$44/hour ($1,380 – $1,518/week) – based on experience
- Note: Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a high-volume surgical unit in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across multiple surgical specialties, particularly Neuro and Thoracic procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures
- Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care
Department Overview:
- High-volume surgical unit operating 24/7
- Case volume ranges from approximately 28–55 procedures per day
- Key service lines include Orthopedic, Neuro, Urology, General, and Thoracic surgery
- Advanced surgical technology, including robotic-assisted procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Tech experience required
- Recent Neuro and Thoracic experience required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
