Job Description

Surgical Technicians usually work together with Surgeons, Nurses and Anesthesiologists during medical procedures. They prepare patients, equipment and rooms for any pending and upcoming surgeries. They also lend a hand during medical procedures as members of the operating team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The Surgical Technician will work in collaboration under the direction of the RN and Surgeon during surgical procedures.

What will you do in this role?

• Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases
• Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN

Qualifications

• Would Strongly Prefer candidates that have 2 years of experience. Preference is acute care experience (1 year) would consider someone that does not have acute care experience.
• MUST have CST certification in hand.
• Previous scrubbing experience is preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
