Job Description

Prepare operating rooms for surgery. Sterilize equipment and make sure that there are adequate supplies for surgery. Ready patients for surgery, such as by washing and disinfecting incision sites. Help surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies.

Certified Surgical Technician

We are seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The Surgical Technician will work in collaboration under the direction of the RN and Surgeon during surgical procedures.

What will you do in this role?

• Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases
• Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN

Qualifications

• Would Strongly Prefer candidates that have 2 years of experience. Preference is acute care experience (1 year) would consider someone that does not have acute care experience.
• MUST have CST certification in hand.
• Previous scrubbing experience is preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
