How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Validate the integrity and completeness of every surgical instrument set, ensuring our surgical teams have the precise, high-quality tools they need to provide seamless patient care.

  • Execute meticulous decontamination and sterilization protocols using advanced equipment to maintain a sterile environment and eliminate the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

  • Audit peer performance through quality assurance checks, fostering a culture of excellence and shared accountability within the sterile processing department.

  • Manage critical inventory levels and case cart preparation to ensure every operating room is fully equipped and ready for life-saving procedures without delay.

  • Troubleshoot and evaluate the condition of specialized equipment, proactively identifying needs for repair or replacement to keep our clinical operations running at peak efficiency.

What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
