The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital located in Blue Ridge, GAand is looking to hire a Certified Scrub Technician to support the
Operating Room team.
This role is essential to delivering safe,
efficient surgical care by assisting surgeons and perioperative staff before,
during, and after procedures.
As a Scrub Technician, you’ll help maintain sterile
technique, ensure surgical readiness, and anticipate the needs of the surgical
team—playing a critical role in patient safety and positive surgical outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with
appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with patient preparation,
positioning, and draping
- Maintain sterile field and always
adhere to aseptic technique
- Perform accurate surgical counts of
instruments, needles, and sponges
- Anticipate surgeon needs and pass
instruments during procedures
- Handle and label surgical specimens
per protocol
- Verify equipment functionality
prior to procedures
- Communicate professionally with
surgeons, nurses, and support staff
- Comply with HIPAA standards and hospital
safety policies
- Participate in patient safety and
quality improvement initiatives
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited
Surgical Technology program or equivalent training
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of operating room
experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sterile
technique and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to remain focused and
effective in high-pressure environments
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Team-oriented mindset with
flexibility and willingness to learn
