Practice Location

• Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH
• No other surgery centers or locations to provide coverage at

Office Hours/Work Schedule

• 4 days/week with rotating call
• Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (cases start at 7:30 a.m.), hours may extend past 3:30 p.m. with Surgery add-on cases.

Staffing

• 8 Anesthesiologists
• 20 CRNAs

Call Schedule

• Rotating weekday call every other week
• 1:10 weekend call
• Weekday call 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. • Weekend call Friday 7:00 a.m. – Monday 7:00 a.m.
• First call post day off 

Case Load

• Case load depends on room:
• General Surgery
• CRNAs occasionally assist in cardiac, but MDA is the primary provider 
• Thoracic
• Vascular 
• OB/maternity 
• Gynecology
• ENT 
• Ophthalmology
• Ortho
• Urology
• Peds – mostly for ENT
