Typical Shift Flow

In After Hours Care, your shift balances steady imaging needs with walk-in variability. You’ll start by reviewing the schedule and any pending orders, then coordinate closely with providers and front-desk staff as patients arrive. Throughout the day/evening, you’ll move between the imaging area and clinical space, keeping documentation current in the RIS and maintaining an orderly film workflow. You’ll communicate status updates to physicians and teammates, help keep patients informed about next steps, and adjust priorities as urgent needs arise. Before handoff, you’ll ensure required logs and routine checks are completed so the next team starts with accurate information and a ready workspace.
