Essential Role This position is responsible for assisting patients with their prescription and pharmacy service needs. This position will provide excellent customer service while supporting pharmacy operations including filling prescriptions, answering phone calls, insurance processing, payment handling, and helping maintain pharmacy inventory.
Duties & Responsibilities Assist patients upon arrival to the pharmacy, including prescription intake and prescription pickup. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other nondiscretionary tasks related to processing of prescriptions or medication orders. Assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions as directed. Assist in receiving, checking in, and stocking daily drug orders. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with pharmacy-related inquiries. Monitor product minimum and maximum inventory levels to maintain appropriate stock levels and support cost-effective inventory control. Assist with annual inventory and periodic cycle counts as scheduled. Support ordering processes by reviewing wholesaler pricing and assisting with invoice, shipping, and inventory reconciliation. Order medications from designated vendor accounts in accordance with established pharmacy procedures. Assist with the segregation, removal, and return of medications, including coordination with reverse distributors when necessary. Follow established pharmacy recall procedures when applicable. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including 340B Program requirements. Assist with Prescription Assistance Program (PAP) medications, including patient enrollment, support documentation, and handling program medications in accordance with established procedures. Complete all required training assigned by GraceMed Health Clinic. Understand and adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area in accordance with pharmacy standards.

Work Schedule Normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch break from noon to 1pm each day.
Working Conditions Work is performed in a pharmacy and administrative office environment. The position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. The role involves frequent use of computers and the ability to view computer screens for extended periods. Regular interaction with physicians, patients, and other clinic staff is required. The position also requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate computers and other office equipment, as well as auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff in person and over the phone.
