    You are the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist that we are seekingfor our Adult and Addiction Services program located in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. As a CPRS you will work alongside patients providing peer support services, serving as a patient advocate and facilitating non-clinical skills/support groups with the support of a licensed clinician.

    This position will be scheduled M-F (7a-4p or 8a-5p or 9a-6p); could flex hours to meet patient schedules

    Peer Recovery Specialist Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist patients in identifying personal goals for recovery
    • Works with clinicians in the development of treatment and discharge plans.
    • Provides case management services as identified in the patient’s treatment plan; coordination of contractual care as needed
    • Completes relevant assessments
    • Assist patients in recognizing barriers to recovery
    • Assist patients in recognizing their personal strengths they build their recovery capital.
    • Facilitate non-clinical skills groups
    • Assist patients in building social skills and the development of healthy relationships.
    • Model different ways someone in recovery uses self-care.

    We are seeking Peer Recovery Specialist Candidates with the following qualities:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Current sustained period of recovery for at least 2 year with substance use.
    • Self-identified person in recovery from substance use
    • Holds current Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) credential from the DMHA.
    • Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required
