Position Summary
Tattnall Health Center is seeking compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in both Full Time and Per Diem capacities. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapeutic interventions designed to help residents improve independence, functional mobility, strength, safety awareness, and performance with daily living activities.

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities focused on improving strength, coordination, mobility, balance, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities
- Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Accurately document treatments, resident progress, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety awareness, and use of adaptive equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations and standards
Qualifications
- Current Georgia Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- CPR certification preferred
