Overview
Under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist, assists in the delivery of occupational therapy services in compliance with federal regulations and rules promulgated by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy. Provides advisory service to other interdisciplinary team members to promote quality patient care. Functions under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy assistant.
Licensure: Must hold current licensure in the state of practice.
Experience: None required.
Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.
Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Demonstrated skills in the practical application of therapeutic procedures. Good interpersonal skills. Equipment Used: Office equipment. Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities and therapeutic interventions for patients. Additional skills and knowledge: be able to push 40 lbs., pull 60 lbs., grip 50 lbs. and pinch 15 lbs.
