QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be currently licensed and registered as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
  • 1 to 2 years of pediatric experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Direct 1:1 Occupational Therapy treatment conducted based on a client’s plan of care
  • Select therapeutic activities according to the needs of a client. Observe and record clients' progress, attitudes, and behavior and maintain this information in client records
  • Monitor patients' performance through daily notes and quarterly progress summaries using an electronic medical record system
  • Work in conjunction with caregivers to achieve optimal outcomes
  • The ability to teach and advise on self-regulation strategies
  • Provide caregivers with weekly feedback to assure strategies are implemented at home
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with feeding skills is helpful, yet training/mentoring is available

Barrett Family Wellness Center is a community-based and community-focused multi-disciplinary clinic dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of children. We currently offer Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Services for children and young adults. We were founded as an OT center with the primary objective of treating children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and serving as a resource for families who live with the disorder. In addition to those with SPD, we also treat a full spectrum of clients with varied conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disability, developmental delays, and more. Our facility is located in Southborough, MA.
