Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help residents improve daily living and functional skills.
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities
Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current certification as a COTA in the state of Iowa (or eligibility)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred, but not required
