Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law.
• Adjustment of splints, therapeutic garments, and adaptive equipment.
• Participate in patient care conferences, staffing as appropriate. Acute care- Complex Care meeting. Transitional Care Unit- Patient staffing.
• Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Occupational Therapy Assistant students as assigned by CCCE.
• Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations, demonstrating the need for skilled interventions.
• Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate or Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current IA and IL COTA or eligible. Current CPR certification. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) within 60 days of hire.
