Certified Nursing Assistant - Senior Psychiatric Unit at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. This is a Full-Time (0.9 FTE), Day Shift position.

The CNA/HUC is a key person within the nursing unit who provides overall administrative and technical assistance and support in the operation of the assigned nursing unit; Collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight and operation of the unit. This position is the hub of all communication to and from the nursing unit and greatly impacts the ''tone'' of the unit/shift. The CNA/HUC duties fall within these main categories:

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA course., Or Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare.
  • Coursework/Training: Medical terminology course, Or CNA coursework: Grandfathered to CNA per OSBN requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with a variety of software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: 1 year of post high school education.
  • Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of health unit coordinator coursework., Or equivalent education/experience
  • Upon hire: National Certification Health Unit Coordinator
  • Experience as a preceptor/role model.
  • 1 year experience as a CNA.
