The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama to hire compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for the Med-Surg unit.
As a CNA on the Med-Surg unit, you will play a vital role in supporting nurses and caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Your work directly contributes to patient comfort, safety, recovery, and the overall success of the care team in a dynamic hospital setting.
Schedule: Full-Time | Nights
What You’ll Do
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake/output, and other patient information
- Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers throughout the unit
- Assist with ambulation, repositioning, and fall prevention measures
- Provide post-operative care support by monitoring patient comfort and reporting concerns
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient rooms and clinical areas
- Respond promptly and compassionately to call lights and patient needs
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN or care team
- Assist with specimen collection and transport following protocol
- Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times
- Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Med-Surg environment
What We’re Looking For
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in a hospital or Med-Surg setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, organizational & multitasking skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused care with a commitment to safety and confidentiality
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in fast-paced environments

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting & Ability to assist with patient movement (up to 100+ lbs with support)
