Requirements and Qualifications

Successful applicants must obtain and/or provide the following before beginning employment:

• Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI • Proof of Tuberculosis clearance • Social Security Card for payroll purposes • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Credential Copy: Valid Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential or proof of application to the CTE

Comments and Other Information

The CNA Instructor will using an approved curriculum teach adult students the skills necessary to pass the CA State Certification exam and provide safe professional care in a clinical setting. Current Licensure as Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse required. Candidates may teach up to 30 hours a week in the classroom and in a clinical setting. Experience in long term care is preferable but not required. This position follows the academic calendar of MPUSD at 187 days. Generally, there are no nights or weekends. Salary is commensurate with experience. The commitment to obtain a Clear California Designated Subjects Credential is required, however, with documented transcripts or experience, candidates may qualify for a Preliminary Designated Subjects Credential.
