JOB SUMMARY
5 North: Hospitalists General Medicine/Observation Unit is very fast paced environment seeing a wide range of patients such as chest pain with possible interventional needs, outpatient surgical procedures requiring minimal post-operative monitoring, respiratory illnesses with low oxygen demand needs to general medicine patients. The medical management of our Observation Patients is that all tests and procedures are completed within 24 hours which is what creates such a fast-paced environment. The most enjoyable part of the job of caring for Observation Patients is that most patients are ambulatory and independent or with minimum assistance. If you are someone that likes something different every single day, this would the BEST place for you!
