    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Minimum two years of nursing assistant experience required.
    • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.
    • Current LNA, CNA, or UCNA licensure with state of Arizona.

    Essential Functions

    • Assists clinical staff in PACU/Pre-Op by facilitating the patient flow.
    • Transports patient belongings from Pre-Op to PACU, locking all belongings in patient locker.
    • Cleans monitors and sets up Pre-Op bays for incoming patients.
    • Stocks supplies in Pre-Op and PACU
    • Assists patients to the restroom in Pre-Op
    • Transports patients to their vehicle from PACU.
    • Assists charge nurse with any clerical needs.
    • Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of patients in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with patient in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
    • Maintains flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs. Ability to work in multiple hospital units.
