Duties & Responsibilities

Patient Care & Well-Being

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide hands-on assistance to patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility, always preserving their comfort and dignity.

  • Clinical Monitoring: Accurately measure, monitor, and record vital signs, height, weight, and other essential patient care data.

  • Vigilant Observation: Carefully observe patients and promptly report any changes in physical condition, behavior, or medical status to licensed nursing staff.

  • Intake & Transitions: Support the smooth coordination of patient intakes, transfers, and discharge processes while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

  • Area Preparation: Prepare, clean, organize, and restock examination and treatment rooms to ensure a safe, efficient environment.

  • Procedure Assistance: Assist nursing staff during routine medical procedures and everyday care activities.

  • Specimen Collection: Correctly collect and transport laboratory specimens in strict accordance with established facility safety protocols.

  • Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all care provided within the patient's medical records.

  • Unified Care: Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, and team members to promote a positive, respectful, and safe workplace.

  • Professional Growth: Actively attend required staff meetings, facility orientations, and continuing education training programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Wisconsin (or verified eligibility for reciprocity).

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Life Support: Current, active CPR/BLS certification.

  • Core Skills: Strong communication skills, professional boundary management, and a knack for successful multitasking.

Desired Qualifications

  • Specialized Settings: Prior experience working in correctional healthcare, long-term care, behavioral health, acute care, or medical-surgical environments.

  • Diverse Populations: Experience delivering care to diverse, complex, or vulnerable patient populations.

  • Tech-Savvy: Previous hands-on experience utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Location and Work Type

  • Work Type: Full-Time Contract Opportunity (Consistent 36-hour work week with potential contract extension opportunities).

  • Work Setting: 100% On-site within a professional facility healthcare environment.

  • Schedule: Highly desirable lifestyle schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), requiring every other weekend.
