McKenney Home Care is a family-owned, private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. We are seeking licensed CNAs and experienced HHAs who are confident in their skills and committed to delivering high-quality care in a home setting.


This role is ideal for professionals who prefer one-on-one care over facility work and want to build meaningful relationships with their clients.


Flexible Scheduling
We offer a variety of shift options to fit your availability, examples include:
  •  Morning shifts: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM 
  •  Short or split shifts: 2–3 hours (AM or PM) 
  •  Standard shifts: 4–6 hours 
  •  Extended shifts: 7–12 hours (day or overnight) 
12-hour day and overnight shifts are widely available 
Private duty schedules vary based on client needs, with opportunities for consistent, ongoing cases.


Key Responsibilities
  •  Provide skilled, one-on-one personal care in the client’s home 
  •  Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility 
  •  Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics 
  •  Provide care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive conditions 
  •  Monitor and report changes in condition to the office and nursing team 
  •  Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration 
  •  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment 
  •  Provide medication reminders (no administration) 
  •  Complete accurate and timely documentation 
  •  Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care team 
Qualifications
  •  Active Florida CNA license or certified/experienced Home Health Aide 
  •  Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation 
  •  Hands-on CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) 
  •  TB test within the last 6 months or chest X-ray within the last 5 years 
  •  Level 2 AHCA background screening (or willingness to complete) https://info.flclearinghouse.com
  •  Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and attention to detail 
  •  Consistent reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills
