- Previous nursing home or long-term care experience preferred, but not required

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

  • Helping residents get in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and chairs safely
  • Taking and recording vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Assisting residents with eating and hydration
  • Repositioning bedridden residents to help prevent bedsores
  • Answering call lights and responding to resident needs promptlyObserving and
  • reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nurses
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to residents
  • Assisting with mobility exercises and walking
  • Maintaining clean and organized resident rooms
  • Following infection control and safety procedures
  • Documenting care provided accurately in charts or electronic medical records
  • Supporting nurses and other healthcare staff with resident care tasks
  • Helping create a respectful, comfortable, and positive environment for residents

Job Summary
We're seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in Hornell, NY. CNAs play a vital role in providing exceptional daily care and support to our residents while helping create a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment.

 

CNA Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident conditions
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Assist with feeding and hydration needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes to nursing staff
