Reports to: CNA Supervisor / DON
Position Type: Full-time | Hourly

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team in Fairview. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Oscoda County.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, colostomy care, ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion support.
• Follow individualized care plans, reporting observations and changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
• Ensure residents’ dignity, privacy, and comfort are prioritized in all aspects of care.
• Support residents’ rights, reporting any concerns of abuse, neglect, or restraint use immediately.
• Protect residents’ personal belongings and assist in locating lost items.
• Promote skin integrity by preventing pressure ulcers, turning and repositioning residents, and applying skin care as directed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and resident needs.
• Assist with vital signs, weight checks, specimen collection, and application of creams/ointments.
• Accurately complete CNA documentation according to policy.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper hand hygiene, glove use, and disposal of soiled materials.
• Welcome and orient new residents and families to the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CurrentCertified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Michigan required.
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to compassionate care.

Schedule and Compensation

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Day Shift (5:30 am - 5:30 pm) or Night Shift (5:30 pm - 5:30 am)
• Weekends: Every other weekend rotation required
• Pay Rate: $20.40–$22.00 / hour based on licensure.
